Multiple MXWAPT / MXWAPXs within one room
There are a lot of divisible spaces (boardrooms, conference centres, etc) that leverage Shure's microflex wireless platform. When multiple access points are within transmission range of eachother, it is imperative to set them up as a single Configuration. This allows them to coordinate DECT timeslots; if they are not setup together, they can and will trample over eachother and cause consistent dropouts. Note that there is a maximum of 10 access points that can be ganged together in a single configuration.
To do this, you first need to make sure that all your APTs are not yet configured. Under "All Devices", they should show as "Open". Double click on your first APT. Double click on one to open it. Under the "Configuration" tab, you will see a list of groups with everything set to none. Each "group" constitutes an access point, 1 or 2 charging stations, and 1 or 2 output devices. Note that the output devices are optional. For each one of your access points, assign it to a group with the proper charging station(s)/output device(s).
Ganging them together like this also allows for easy configuration of the entire system. For example, the settings for external mute, external LED control, RF power, etc can all be changed centrally.
